The story of how marshmallow tulips connected two hearts

In Barcelona, where the sun kisses the sea and the streets are filled with the aromas of coffee and fresh pastries, lived a young man named Mark. He was humble, a little shy, but with a big heart. Every day he saw her — Alice, an unapproachable beauty with brown hair and a smile that drove him crazy.

Alice studied with him at the same faculty. She always seemed so confident, so distant. Mark tried to approach her and speak, but each time the words got stuck in his throat. "What can I offer her? — he thought. — I'm just an ordinary guy, and she... she's like from another planet".

One day, after another unsuccessful attempt to speak to Alice, Mark was walking down the street with his head down. He was so upset that he didn’t even notice how he ended up near our confectionery. The display case, decorated with bright boxes and desserts, attracted his attention. And then he saw them — marshmallow tulips.

Tender, airy, as if made of clouds, they lay in a small box decorated with ribbon. "That's perfect", — thought Mark. He went inside, bought a box and wrote on a small note:

"Waiting for you in Plaza Catalunya at 5 pm. I'll be with a bouquet of tulips. You recognize me right away. Your fan".

The next day, during a break between couples, Mark saw Alice leave the audience. His heart sank wildly. He waited for her to move away and quickly placed a box of marshmallow tulips on her table along with a note.

Alice returned, saw the box and smiled. She opened it, tried the marshmallow tulip and read the note. Her heart trembled.

At 17:00 in Plaza Catalunya, Marc stood with a bouquet of real tulips. He was looking nervously at his watch when he suddenly saw her. Alice walked towards him, holding in her hands that same box with marshmallow tulips.

— Is that you? — she asked, smiling.
— Yes, — Mark answered, handing her a bouquet. — I've wanted to talk to you for a long time, but I didn't know how.

Alice laughed:
— Marshmallow tulips — is the most original way I've ever seen.

Since then they have become inseparable. And the box of marshmallow tulips has become their little tradition — every year on the day of their first meeting, Mark gives Alice the same box, reminding her of how it all started.
