Mochi: The Little Japanese Joys That Conquer Hearts
So let's talk about moti. I often ask people, "Do you like mochi?" And do you know what's surprising? Many people answer that no. But I'm sure they just didn't try our moti. Because our mochi — is not just a dessert, it is a culinary masterpiece.
What is mochi?
Mochi — is a traditional Japanese dessert that consists of tender rice dough and filling. In Japan, they are made with a variety of fillings, sometimes even (azuki) beans, but frankly, this may be too specific for European taste. Therefore, we decided to adapt the mochi so that they become closer and clearer to those who grew up on European desserts.
Are our mochi special?
Let's take a point by point what makes our mochi so unique:
1. Dough
Dough for mochi — is a different story. We use (da glutinous rice flour, the packaging says "glutinose", but it's not gluten, but just the property of flour being sticky and elastic). We brew it in a special way so that it turns out viscous, tender and slightly sweet. Personally, what I like most about mochi is the dough — its texture and taste are mesmerizing.
2. Filling
We do double moti. What does this mean? Within each mochi there are two layers of filling:
-
Fruit center — fresh, bright, based on fruit or berry puree.
-
Main filling — it can be mousse on mascarpone, with the addition of fruits, nuts, coffee or caramel.
It turns out that mochi — is like a small mousse cake wrapped in rice dough.
3. Assortment
Enter our category with mochi and you will see how many different flavors we have! From classic (strawberries, mango) to more unusual ( pistachio, caramel, coffee). I always recommend starting with a set that contains different flavors. This way you can understand what is closer to you, and perhaps discover your new favorite dessert.
Moti for children: joy in every face
And now the most interesting thing! I deliberately got confused and created a collection children's moti with faces are animals. Imagine: cute mochi in the shape of a dog, a cat, a cow and other animals — only 9 different figures! This is not just a dessert, it is a real joy for children. Every mochi — is a small surprise that brings a smile and delight.
Children's mochi are as tasty as regular ones, but with an additional — bonus they are beautiful and funny. Ideal for holidays, children's parties or just to please kids with something special.
Does everyone like moti?
To be honest, mochi — is not a dessert that suits absolutely everyone. Approximately 20% of people say they don't like him. Perhaps it's the texture of the dough or that they're just not used to desserts like this. But if you like to try new things, if you like tender, airy and slightly exotic sweets, then mochi — is definitely your option.
